蛭町やい子 Yaiko Hirumachi四季折々の風景画を主とする水彩画家。力強く鮮やかな色彩表現が特徴。白日会会員の中野隆氏に師事した。元栃木県美術作家連盟会員・白日会準会員
栃木県茂木町に生まれる 1980年代半ば頃、生涯の師である中野隆氏と出会い、栃木県各地を共に巡り、何気ない風景の切り取り方について学んだ。よく訪れたのは、那須、塩原、塩谷、奥日光、古賀志、五十里瑚、犬吠埼など。透明水彩の絵具を使い、油彩のような色彩を描き出す技法は師から受け継いだものである 1991年の宇都宮市民芸術祭に入賞したのを皮切りに、栃木県芸術祭美術展入選、下野新聞社長賞、栃木県勤労者美術展知事賞、労働大臣賞など受賞 1993年、白日会に入選。1997年には、生まれ故郷の茂木町で第1回の個展を開催。以後、宇都宮市を中心に計12回の個展を開催する 2010年白日会会友、以後、東京国立新美術館に毎年出展、2014年には日展に入選、2021年白日会準会員 現在、栃木県宇都宮市在住 出展、個展

Profile
A watercolor painter who mainly paints landscapes of the four seasons. Characterized by works with vibrant and vivid colors. Studied under Takashi Nakano, a member of Hakujitsukai. Former member of the Tochigi Prefecture Artists Association and associate member of the Hakujitsukai. Born in Motegi Town, Tochigi Prefecture In the mid-1980s, she met her lifelong teacher Takashi Nakano, and together they traveled around Tochigi Prefecture, learning how to capture casual landscapes. She often visited Nasu, Shiobara, Shioya, Oku-Nikko, Kogashi, Ikariko Lake, Inubosaki, and other places. She inherited the technique of using transparent watercolor paints to create colors like oil paintings from her teacher. Starting with winning a prize at the Utsunomiya City Art Festival in 1991, she was selected for the Tochigi Prefecture Art Festival Art Exhibition, won the Shimotsuke Shimbun President's Award, the Tochigi Prefecture Workers' Art Exhibition Governor's Award, and the Minister of Labor Award. In 1993, she was selected for the Hakujitsukai. In 1997, she held her first solo exhibition in her hometown of Motegi Town. Since then, she has held a total of 12 solo exhibitions, mainly in Utsunomiya City. In 2010, she was recommended as the kaiyu member of the Hakujitsukai Association, and has exhibited at the National Art Center, Tokyo every year since then. In 2014, she was selected for the Nitten Exhibition, and in 2021, she was recommended as an member of the Hakujitsukai Association. Currently lives in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. |
